Our unique multi-processor Comcerto® platform implements a rich set of interfaces, voice codec options and packet-processing features that enable manufacturers to quickly and cost-effectively integrate VoIP-enabled T1/E1 and POTS gateway functions into a broad variety of carrier and enterprise access equipment.
Mindspeed serves the VoIP market through its Communications Convergence Processing (CCP) business unit. Our Comcerto communications convergence processors combine powerful digital signal processor (DSP) cores, acceleration co-processors and flexible packet processing engines in a complete, system-on-chip (SoC) media processing solution with carrier-class VoIP software. Comcerto processors are designed to reduce overall design time and system cost for VoIP applications, while enabling manufacturers to quickly and easily create multiple system solutions for various deployments.
For infrastructure applications, Mindspeed’s Comcerto solutions enable the development of carrier-class triple-play edge gateways, metro trunking gateways and other platforms that are used to deliver high-value VoIP and triple-play (voice, data and video) services to residential subscribers. For customer premises equipment (CPE) applications, Comcerto solutions support packet-TDM and packet-packet operation for a variety of media processing applications including voice appliances, media gateways and session border controllers (SBCs), and deliver the lowest power consumption in their class along with advanced, programmable power-management features to support the energy-saving goals of service providers and product manufacturers worldwide.
