Mindspeed was honored with SK Telecom and Contela by winning the 2012 'Best Mobile International' category at the 2012 Mobile Excellence Awards. The 2012 award highlighted the data-only femtocell service from SK Telecom that was designed to offload mobile data traffic associated with the rapid growth of smartphones, tablets and mobile PCs. Contela produced their Data Femtocell product for SK Telecom using a Mindspeed (Picochip) baseband processor. (Mindspeed acquired Picochip Ltd in January 2012) |

Mindspeed's Transcede processor family was honored as one of three finalists for the 'RAN and Small Cell Technology Product' award at the 2012 Best of 4G Awards.
