The PC312 is a highly integrated baseband systems-on-chip (SoCs) aimed at the fast-growing enterprise femtocell market, supporting up to eight users. The devices, built on advanced 65nm process, substantially reduce manufacturers' bill-of-materials costs, allowing the production of cost effective enterprise femtocells.
The PC312 builds on the PC302 solution, and extends this to the enterprise market, with support up to 3GPP Release 8 (compliant to TR25.820 and the standardized Iu-h interface) in addition to supports the FAPI and FRMI industry standards. The PC312 offers OEMs a short time to market for complete designs that will attain outstanding performance and conformance to regulatory standards. The integrated solution includes PHY, RNC stack, synchronization, network listen and Radio Resource Management functions.
The device facilitates self-organizing network (SON, TR32.821) and dynamic spectrum management functionality via 2G and 3G network monitoring functions. It includes enhanced security features for authentication, location detection, encryption and code protection, including TrustZone support and integrated hardware for Kasumi, SRTP and IPSec processing.
Like all members of the PC3xx family, the PC312 provides the flexibility and processing power demanded by users requiring an upgrade path to technologies such as LTE, HSPA+ and MIMO. Its architecture also provides the flexibility for in-field upgrades and offers spare processing power for customer enhancements and home networking functions.
