The M21462 is an eight channel device designed to enable the transmission of multi-gigabit serial data through the most challenging environments. The device features eight independent, programmable equalizers that equalize data at rates up to 6.25 Gbps. Each input channel also includes an integrated clock and data recovery device to retime the input data and remove residual jitter on the signal. The M21462 is controlled via an I2C compatible bus or it can self-configure from an external EEPROM without the need for a host processor. For compatibility with PCIExpress and S-ATA/SAS systems, the M21462 may be configured to transparently pass electrical idle signals from input to output. Boundary scan is provided for high-speed input and output pins, and the device is available in a 10x10 mm, 72-pin QFN package. 21462
