The M21111, designed for today's demanding telecom, datacom, and broadcast video applications, is the industry's lowest power, high-speed 17x17 crosspoint switch with input equalization and built-in system test features.

The device typically consumes as low as 1.75 Watts of power with all channels operational, allowing for the removal of heatsink requirements. The PowerScaler™ feature offers dynamically scalable switch settings to further reduce power consumption. With the use of the SmartPower™ feature, unused portions of the core can be automatically turned off without affecting the operation of the remaining channels. In addition, individual input and output buffers can manually be powered down.
