Mindspeed optical laser drivers are designed to drive a wide variety of lasers from 155 Mbps to beyond 10.7 Gbps. Mindspeed has the right laser driver for LED, FP, DFB EA and VCSEL based applications. For short, medium and long-haul operation, Mindspeed laser drivers are built in a technology optimized for the right application and data rate. Mindspeed laser drivers contain a large number of features including high or low side safety switches, comprehensive laser failure monitoring and reporting, temperature compensation, and custom circuitry to control ER (extinction ratio) over temperature, voltage and life. Mindspeed laser drivers are matched to the application in a variety of high-performance packages.
