Comcerto® 5000
Description
The Comcerto® 5000 Media Processing SoC and production software is the ideal solution for processing Voice-over-IP and Video-over-IP media streams in NGN Media Gateways and systems performing the Media Resource Function Processing (MRFP) for IMS Networks. Key applications include video and voice content conversion in support of video telephony, Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS), and video ad insertion.
The Comcerto 5000 integrates ARM Cortex A9 packet processors, a high-performance DSP array, and acceleration engines along with a comprehensive set of popular interfaces. Software includes codec support for VoIP termination and transcoding in wireline, mobile, and converged (wireline/mobile) networks, as well as video stream trans-coding, video overlay insertion, frame-rate modification, and video image trans-sizing. A backward compatible API for the voice features allows easy migration of prior Comcerto designs.
