622 Mbps, 3.3 or 5V Post-Amplifier

Overview

Description

The M02044C is a second-generation, integrated, high-gain post-amplifier intended for high-speed fiber-optic communications. Normally placed following the photodetector and transimpedance or pre-amplifier, the post- amplifier provides the necessary gain for ECL-compatible logic outputs. The M02044C also includes a programmable signal-level detector, allowing the user to set thresholds at which the logic outputs are enabled. The M02044C has been designed to be pin-to-pin and functionally compatible with the Signetics NE5334/5 and Motorola MC10SX1125. The device supports most fiber-optic industry standards.
