Mindspeed’s High Performance Analog (HPA) business unit uses advanced architectures proven in high-speed optical networking devices to help optimize the cost and performance of equipment that supports Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) standards. Typical applications include serial routing switchers, production switchers, and master control equipment. Mindspeed is responsible for a number of industry firsts, including the first 288x288 asynchronous non-blocking crosspoint switch for a new generation of significantly larger serial data switches, and the first multi-channel 3G-Serial Digital Interface (SDI) products with the industry's lowest power consumption.
Mindspeed’s offering spans a complete signal chain for an SDI router, including high-performance, multi-rate equalizer and cable driver solutions for emerging 3G HDTV standards as well as legacy HD/SD and SD-only applications. We also offer video crosspoint switches that optimize data rate, size, performance and power efficiency for serial routing and production switcher applications, with built-in signal conditioning and non-blocking matrix sizes ranging from 2x2 all the way through 288x288. Our products deliver the highest levels of integration as 3D video drives accelerating adoption of next-generation video solutions.
