Pb-free JESD97 Category and Terminal Finish
JEDEC recently released JESD97 standard for lead-free marking and labeling which includes the category of the 2nd level interconnect finishes.
Mindspeed will comply with JESD97 as well as any new industry standard labels for green once a new standard is released. The 2nd level interconnect is represented by an “e” plus a number that identifies the category enclosed in a circle or an ellipse. Some packages will not have the “e” category due to package size limitation. The shape and size of the “e” category will also vary due to package size constraints.
A PCN will be sent to the customers notifying them of the implementation date of the marking and labeling additions per JESD97.
